My favorite story was "The Open Window". I enjoyed the story because of the twisting ending. The author really made me believe that the father and brother had really gone hunting and never came back. The other aspect of the story that I found interesting was the title. "The Open Window" was a great title for this story.

My favorite story was Pancakes by Joan Bauer. What i found great about the story was when Jill knew she was not a perfectionist. I loved the part when she found out she was not perfect and needed help to survive the day in the restaurant she worked in. Plus the whole reason was to show that nobody is perfect in life and at some point they need help to get threw the day. That's why Pancakes is my favorite story.

I enjoyed the short story "Pancakes" because, it illustrates that not one human being is "Perfect". It also organizes the idea that once and awhile it's healthy to accept a helping hand now and then. The scene that also caught my attention, was when Allen entered the establishment, and put aside all the arguments/judgements/annoyances aside, to help a friend in need. It's shows a friendships can surpass rising obstacles. "Pancakes" is definitely worth reading.

My favorite story was american history, it was a mix of two things which were interesting to me. It gave me a little history lesson on when john f Kennedy was shot and how everyone reacted to it. There was a little love story in american history as well when Elena liked Eugene. American history also has a lot of mixed feelings in it with the president being killed and a little love part as well. American history was a great story overall!!!!!

My favorite story was pancakes because its related to me. Jill thought she was a perfectionst but she really wasn't. She noticed when she needed help when she was in a bad situation. It was hard for her to understand but now she knows nobody is perfect.

My favorite story was pancakes. The story pancakes teaches you that no one is perfect. No one can ever be a perfectionist because everyone makes mistakes and I enjoyed seeing the main character learn that the hard way.

My favorite story is Open Window because of the suspense. We're not sure if the niece was lying or not and it leaves the readers to question the mystery at the end. It's open ended which means you have to come up with your own conclusion of the story and when I read stories like that, i get entranced. I hope we get to read more open ended stories like that.

My favorite story was American History. It was my favorite story because the story was so excited and so melancholy. For example, JFK got shot which made the whole country very sad.Especially Elena's neighbourhood. But then Eugene moved in but Elena and him liked each other. then, they decided to study together but Eugene's mom stopped them and send her mom. Elena went home and tried to cry.
